Privacy Policy & Support

1. Information We Use

GoSki uses your first and last name, email address and account identifier to verify your email, identify your account and provide account features. We store the resorts you save as favorites and the resort requests you submit so those features work across sessions.

If you turn on snow alerts, we store the resorts you follow for alerts and your alert choices: forecast and storm updates, the snowfall amount that triggers a forecast alert, quiet hours, whether alert email is on, and your phone's time zone setting so quiet hours follow your local time. We keep a record of each alert prepared for you and whether it was delivered for 90 days, so the same alert is not sent twice and delivery problems can be fixed. Alert emails go to your account's email address.

When you purchase or restore a pass, we process purchase records, product identifiers, subscription status and account identifiers to verify access, recognize renewals and refunds, and understand subscription performance. These records can be linked to your GoSki account. Apple handles payment details; GoSki does not receive your payment card number.

2. Service Providers

We use Supabase to provide authentication and store app and account data. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, maintain access to paid features and provide subscription analytics. These providers process the information needed for those services. Email delivery providers process your address and the messages we send you (sign-in codes and, if you turn them on, snow alert emails) to deliver them, and tell us when a message bounces or is reported as spam. Apple processes App Store purchases under its own privacy policy.

Snow alerts are based on public forecasts and alerts from the U.S. National Weather Service and, for Canadian resorts, Environment and Climate Change Canada. GoSki requests that information for resort locations and does not send either agency any information about you.

GoSki does not sell your personal information or use it to track you across other companies' apps and websites for targeted advertising. Choosing a resort, saving a favorite or following a resort for alerts does not give GoSki access to your device's precise location.

3. Location, Ski Recordings and Offline Maps

When you start a ski session and grant permission, GoSki records precise GPS location and available pressure measurements to estimate your route, elevation, speed and ski-day statistics. Recording can continue while the screen is locked. Pause or Finish stops session capture.

Recording journals are encrypted on your device and associated with the account that recorded them. GoSki does not upload these journals or provide cloud recording backup. You can export a recording; exported files are shared only to the destination you choose. Finished recordings can be deleted using their export and manage controls. Deleting your account also erases that account's recordings saved on the phone you delete it from, so export any you want to keep first.

Downloaded map areas and planned routes are stored locally and have their own management and deletion controls. Map and weather services receive requests for the geographic areas you view or download. Those requests are separate from your ski recording journal. Files you export are not removed when you delete a recording or your account.

4. Account, Alert and Purchase Choices

You can remove saved favorites in the app. The account deletion option in Settings deletes your GoSki authentication account and its owned profile, favorites, resort requests, snow alert settings and records, and its recordings saved on that phone. You can also contact us about account data or deletion using the support address below.

You can turn off alert email or stop following a resort on the app's Snow alerts screen at any time, or use the unsubscribe option in any alert email (most mail apps show it as an Unsubscribe button). If an alert email bounces permanently or is reported as spam, we turn off alert email for that account. We will update this policy before GoSki adds text-message or push alerts.

Deleting your GoSki account does not cancel an App Store subscription or erase Apple's purchase history. Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account's subscription settings. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are separate from your GoSki profile and may remain for purchase validation, restoration and transaction administration. Contact us with questions about those records.

We keep account information to operate your account and saved features until it is removed through these controls. We may update this policy as GoSki changes; the date above identifies the latest update.
